The windows on this cookie cottage are filled with Isomalt and sparkling sugar to give them a frosty look.
My edible glass turned out much better this time (compared to the last time I used Isomalt on this Christmas cookie centerpiece) because I placed it into a hot oven for about 20 minutes to allow the air bubbles to rise to the surface.



Here’s what you’ll need to make this glowing cookie cottage
These supplies are available in my Amazon store unless otherwise noted
- Chilled sheet of cookie dough (I used my peppermint cookie recipe)
- Gingerbread house cookie cutter set
- Royal icing
- Royal Blue, Black, Brown, Leaf Green, and Lemon Yellow food coloring (I used Ann Clark brand food coloring)
- Pre-cooked isomalt (I used Satin Ice brand)
- Silicone mat (I used a Silpat)
- Sparkling sugar (I used King Arthur brand)
- Scribe tool
- 5 12” Decorating bags
- 1 tipless decorating bags
- Decorating tips Wilton 1, 2, and 3
- Couplers & Bag ties (I used Wilton brand)
- Flat decorator brush (I used Sweet Sticks brand)
- Flameless candles
