These Delft pottery inspired pumpkin cookies aren’t your typical fall designs, but I think that’s part of why I love them so much!

The tutorial, printable supply list, instructions, and recipes are in the Cookie Art Club. You can watch Royal Icing 101 to brush up on the basics before you jump into this wet-on-wet design!

I used the wet-on-wet royal icing technique to decorate these Delft pottery inspired pumpkin cookies. Using my royal icing recipe, I’m able to get up to 10 minutes of working time out of my icing. This is affected by humidity in the air and how thick or thin I’ve made my icing (even after all these years of decorating cookies, I still have days where my icing consistency is off!).

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use the wet-on-wet royal icing technique to create a variety of designs that you can use on your Delft pottery inspired cookies. The royal icing rose is my favorite part!
